[ 2024 VTTI AI dash cam performance evaluation ]

Faster alerts, stronger protection,
better collision prevention

Discover how Nauto's Predictive AI identified risks sooner, reacted faster, and delivered stronger protection.

[ The study ]

Tested against high-risk scenarios

In December 2024, the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI), a global leader in transportation research, tested Nauto's predictive AI-powered safety system. Commissioned by Nauto, the study measured how well the system detected and responded to high-risk scenarios, especially when drivers were distracted. Test conditions included following vehicles, approaching stopped cars, and detecting pedestrians and motorcycles with both attentive and texting drivers.

16%

Faster alerts

For distracted drivers approaching a stopped car.

80-90%

Alert accuracy

When detecting pedestrians and cyclists with distracted drivers.

88%

Alerts delivered early

Early enough to give drivers time to avoid collisions.

VTTI does not endorse any products.

[ Predictive risk fusion ]

Two signals, one earlier warning

Scene and driver, together

By combining external scene analysis with real-time driver monitoring, Nauto delivers earlier, smarter alerts that help fleets prevent collisions before they happen.

Measured, not claimed

The system identified risks sooner, reacted faster, and delivered stronger protection across the scenarios VTTI tested.
